Sadly, the President, Nana Akufo addo has woefully failed most of the promises made during his 2016 campaign. Notable among them is the National Cathedral, where $58 million has been spent at the foundation level. Others are the Planting for Food and Job Creation, one Village One Dam- One District One Factory and several others are all scams. Today, the National Cathedral has turned the National Swimming Pool! What a shame and disgrace!

The question that many Ghanaians ask is, how did NPP spend $58 million? Is this not a loot-and-share government? In the year of planting for food and job creation, a bag of maize increased to GH700.00. Today, a bag of maize is selling at GH1,000. You can run, but you can’t hide. I do not want to waste much time on the Ghanaian economy that Nana Akufo Addo and Dr. Bawumiah consistently stressed to win the 2016 elections with massive votes. How was the dollar to the cedi in 2016?

President Akufo-Addo was considered a consummate democrat, a no-nonsense person, and a touted human rights lawyer. However, he is the worst president the Fourth Republic has so far! This is a big disappointment!

It is important to go into specifics of my submission here to buttress the inactions, insensitivity, and unpopularity of this Akufo-Addo-Bawumia-led government.

The deliberate inactions or half-hearted attempts of this Akufo-Addo-led government to fight corruption have led to the festering of more corruption in the country. This government has registered more corruption scandals including Agyapa, PDS, and BOST- BOST-contaminated oil scandals, to mention a few, than any other government in our Fourth Republican dispensation. When it comes to corruption-related matters, President Akufo-Addo is unfortunately tagged as a ‘Clearing Agent’ for his impatience in defence of his embattled Appointees and some NPP officials.

It is on record that in eight years, the NDC government issued 58 licences for mining. Today, the NPP government has increased the number to 1,503 miners.
