Milicent Yeboah Amankwaah of the NDC knocked out the incumbent MP, the Mugabe of the Sunyani West, the labour and employment minister, Ignatius Baffour Awauh in the early hours when some of the results were declared. The MP-elect, Millicent Yeboah Amankwah polled 26,828 while the former MP, Ignatius Balfour Awuah recorded, 19,815. He was beaten with a difference of, 7,013.
Hon Ignatius Bafour Awuah started his political career titles as, DCE, MCE, and deputy regional minister of the Brong Ahafo region then. He subsequently became the regional minister of BA, won the 2008 election as MP, and maintained the seat in 2012 and 2016 respectively. His political titles in the region make him Mugabe. He was able to rise to the cabinet minister. As the saying goes, no situation is permanent, a 35-year-old lady, Millicent Yeboah Amankwah knocked him out before the last bell.
