Speaking to a gathering of family members, Nana Akora Tua noted that he has served as Twafohene for more than 25 years without any confrontation with any chief, including any of the past paramount chiefs. He asked why such a move was being made now and what had actually happened to warrant it.

The family, which assembled in response to the Omanhene’s statements, expressed strong disagreement with the attempt to destool the Sisirease royal seat. They described the action as divisive and warned that it could undermine the unity of the Wenchi Traditional Council. The Sisirease Royal Family of Wenchi plays key roles in traditional rites, and the deciders of enstoolment cannot be ignored. Wenchi history tells it all.

Nana Akora Tua concluded by appealing for calm, saying that if peace prevails, it will foster the development that everyone in the Wenchi Traditional Area is seeking. He urged all parties to engage in dialogue and due process rather than escalate tensions through public declarations.

The dispute comes shortly after the Wenchi Omanhene posted the indefinite suspension of the Twafohene on social media.

The anniversary celebration continued on Sunday with a special blessing ceremony. During the event, 20 people were presented with clothing items, including kente fabrics, as part of efforts to support and honour members of the community. The founder of Nyame Tease Church, Bishop Yeboah Afari, among other pastors, started with praises and ended with a prayer for Nana Bafour Asare II, who finally broke down in tears

Prizes were also presented to winners of the various competitions. The best football team received a set of jerseys and a football, while the winner of the draughts competition was presented with a draughts board and a cup. Nana surprised the gathering when he gave spot cash of Gh 5,000 to Mary, along with a sewing machine, to learn a trade.

The occasion reached its peak with a dinner that brought together the traditional authorities, pastors, invited guests, and residents. The dinner provided an opportunity for the people to celebrate the achievements of the Bamirehene and reflect on the development of the community under his leadership.

Addressing the gathering, Nana Bafour Asare II said the anniversary was important to him because it marked 12 years since he ascended the traditional stool. He expressed gratitude to the people for their support and cooperation throughout his reign.

The Bamirehene noted that his administration had undertaken several development projects aimed at improving the lives of residents. Among the projects, he mentioned the construction of a 5,000-seater conference hall, three police stations, a clinic, a family hotel, 16 mechanised boreholes, and 25 public washrooms.

He said the projects formed part of his vision to promote development, improve public services, and create a better environment for the people of Techiman-Bamire.

Nana Bafour Asare II thanked the pastors, traditional leaders, organisers, sponsors and residents for contributing to the success of the anniversary celebration.

At his coronation, the people expected more from him based on his record in the community. He was carried shoulder-high and paraded through the streets of the town amidst pomp and pageantry after swearing allegiance to the chief of the town, Nana Oppong Baah Gabriel.

In his acceptance speech, Nana Kwabena Siaw Sakyi known private life as Robert K Siaw noted that for Ghana to develop faster it must be hung on rural development hence called on all development agents including community members both home and abroad to bring all hands on deck to help develop the rural areas of the country for rapid development of the people.

He says, ‘Dormaa and its environs are noted for poultry enclave which when properly harnessed and develop can boost economic activities and jobs creation and also improve lives of the people’.

Nana says Dormaa and its catchments are cocoa-growing areas, but all of their roads are very bad. He pleaded with the government to fix the roads to boost commuting in the area.

Nana Kwabena Siaw Sakyi has provided an Information Technology Communication centre ICT with 26 computers and accessories including chairs and tables for Aboabo No1 Kromokrom Presby School. He called on parents to provide opportunities for their wards to take up the study of ICT with all seriousness.

The chief of the town, Nana Oppong Baah Gabriel on his part pleaded with the Dormaa Municipal Assembly to assist them to complete their community centre which has been halted due to funds

He also emphasized the need for upgrade of roads linking Aboabo No1 to No 4 to help transport cocoa from the area.

The chairman of the occasion, Dormaa Manwerehene, Barima Efiritete Sampson Siaw advises the newly installed chief and his newly installed queen mother, Akyempimhemaa, Nana Bermaa Nkatia Boama to be submissive to the people but not to lord their positions over the people.

Nana Kwabena Siaw Sakyi is 55 and married to Rose Margret with two children.

According to the Omanhene of Wenchi Traditional Area, Nana Akoratuah Adutwum IV and his subjects are suspended from operating as chiefs in the Wenchi traditional area until further notice. Akwamuhehe’s case was that he was in the court as a principal witness against the Omanhene, Nana Ampem Anye Amoampong Tabrako III. The chiefs and queen mothers of Wenchi Akwamu’s palace see this as a fallacy.

Nana Akuratua Adutwum IV says that Wenchi is always dragging backward because some chiefs have failed to follow the tradition and the truth. He pointed out that, the mischief attitudes of some chiefs had denied Wenchi of its early glories, which do not auger well to entertain any longer.

Nana says all his blame is looking for the truth and enforcing the tradition. Nana was emphatic that, no one can unseat him from the Wenchi Akwamu traditional stool for no harm done.

Nana says their family stool lands remain untouched, and it will be bloody if any chief ventures without his knowledge. Nana says they are for peace, but those who are calling for war should not try the Wenchi Akwaum’s royal family.

The Dompemhene of Wenchi traditional area, Nana Owusu Yeboah Afari says the suspension notice issued by the Omanhene of Wenchi to Nana Akuratua Adutwum IV is unconstitutional and cannot stand.

Saudi Arabia is one among the 19 countries that are looking to join the alliance and accept the new currency, reported Bloomberg.

Saudi Arabia’s membership would strengthen the economic power of the BRICS bloc. Saudi is among the world’s largest oil producers and exporters, and it possesses significant reserves of oil and natural gas. This could enhance the energy cooperation among BRICS members and potentially increase trade and investment opportunities within the group.

The Princess of Wales arrived for the preview day to attend a children’s picnic at the Royal Flower Show.

For the occasion, she wore a pink color block dress and a pair of suede wedges.

She chatted with schoolchildren who were in attendance.

Kate also joined them on a picnic blanket, with what looks like an incredible fruit spread.

The Princess of Wales then took a tour of the flower show, accompanied by students.

King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived in good spirits.

Camilla’s floral dress was very on-theme.

She stopped to smell some flowers.

Princess Diana’s nieces Amelia Spencer and Eliza Spencer were in attendance on the first day. Amelia opted for a Zimmermann dress, and Eliza chose an Alessandra Rich polka-dot dress.
