Biometric Driving Licencing Clears Out ‘Golo Boys’

The introduction of biometric driver licensing by the DVLA has helped to clear out all middlemen mostly called the ‘Golo Boys’ from the system.

The driver and vehicle licensing authority district manager of Techiman in the Bono East region, Victor Ekow Takyi Sagoe said this when speaking with Nkyeremu News.

He says the elimination of the ‘Golo Boys’ has helped to clear most of the faked driver licenses issued these days.

The DVLA boss, Ekow Takyi Sagoe says it has helped the customers to cut down the unnecessary money they used to spend before theyy get their driving licenses.

He says the use of invoices also indicates total transparency. He says the technology approach in their service delivery has helped to speed up their works and also cut down costs.

He says the reduction of faked driving licenses will automatically reduce road accidents

As the Christmas celebration is getting near, the DVLA boss, Victor Ekow Takyi Sagoe pleaded with drivers to follow road regulations. He again cautioned against overspending and overloading.

On other issues, he pleaded with all persons in possession of a driving license to renew it after every two years.

He says every driver’s license issued in Ghana expires after 6 years and opt for renewal.
