The National general secretary of the Association of Local Authority (NALAG), Hon Kokro Amankwah has pleaded with the government to make all things possible to pay the assembly members whose role in the governing can never be over emphasised.
He was speaking to Nkyeremu news after their training of trainers’ workshop held in Sunyani Tyco City Hotel.

He says the task ahead of the assembly members are hicurious task and therefore deserved payment for their activities.
Hon Kokro Amankwah says the assembly members and the presiding members are the pivot wheels that cannot be denied if decentralization policies should be effective in Ghana.

He says the NALAG executives have discussed monitory issues with the vice president, Dr Bawumia to redress.

He says, the unity committee members cannot be more effective with peanuts allowances.

The Bono regional minister, hon Justina Owusu Banahene in her address at the workshop says, the roles of PMs and the hon assembly members are the bedrock of the Ghana’s democracy which help to deepening our decentralization policies.
