The Bono East regional minister, hon Kwasi Adu Gyan has called for immediate measures to combat the spread of the covid19 cases in the Brong East region.

The Bono East region is among the three regions in Ghana leading in the spread of covid19 cases. The region has recorded 1,801 covid19 cases with 35 deaths. Surprisingly, March- July 2021 has recorded 10 deaths and 788 cases.

Based on the report by the health directorate, the minister has enforced all protocols to help curb the menace.

Hon Kwasi Adu Gyan has placed mandatory protocols on all social gatherings. He says, the one-week funeral celebration is to be observed by only the family members and should not exceed two hours.

Similarly, the funeral celebrations and churches worshippers should also adhere to all protocols and should not exceed two hours.

He says any individual or organization in doubt of anything relating to the new measures should not hesitate to call on the health directorate for further details.

The minister has pleaded with drivers in the region to enforce all passengers to wear their nose masks or deny them onboard their vehicles. The minister, says everyone must help to eradicate the covid19 pandemic in the region.

The minister finally, pleaded with all the people in the region to adhere to the protocols to avert any arrest and prosecution.
