The Bono East regional minister, hon Kwasi Adu Gyan has sworn in nine districts and municipal chief executives of the region. He urged them to start the ball rolling since they have limited time to deliver.
The other two nominees who failed to meet 50 percent of the MMDCEs electoral requirements are to be decided again by the president, Nana Akufo Addo. The minister said.
Hon Kwasi Adu Gyan has urged the chief executives been sworn in to be very innovative in all their activities since one year of their term is already spent.
He pleaded with them to work in common with their honorable assembly members, the traditional chiefs, and their members of parliament to break the eight years of power in office.
Hon Kwasi Adu Gyan has charged the MDCEs to get closer to the grassroots party members who decide elections. He says, their issues should be taken with all seriousness.
The Techiman south member of parliament, hon Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah, urged the chief executives to work extra harder to get more support from the local government ministry.
The colourful occasion was been graced by the Omanhene of the Techiman Traditional area, Oseadeyo Akumfi Ameyaw iv. He was being accompanied by the Bono east regional house of chiefs president, Pimampim Yaw Kabrese the paramount chief of Yeji in the Pru district among other dignitaries.
