The ownership claimed by the VRA-NEDCo of the power poles and cables being financed by individuals is robbery and should be looked at. In the first place, it is the mandated duty of the government to provide electricity to the people. If the government fails to provide these vital social interventions, and individuals provide everything, who should own it?
It is sad just after 24 hours, VRA claims ownership, this is a cheat and does make sense. The next morning, you will hear the politicians saying we have provided electricity to all the people.
I guess the cost has been involved in the power supply by individuals should be paid back by the government since it is the sole responsibility of the government to provide electricity to the people. The daytime robbery among some organizations in Ghana is not reasonable.
