The Deputy CEO of PBC LTD in charge of operations, Alfred Ofori Annye has submitted his forms to contest the parliamentary primaries of the NPP in the Wenchi constituency of the Bono region.
He was accompanied by scores of his supporters, family and friends, and youth groups who share in his vision. The forms were received by members of the constituency elections committee members at the party office in Wenchi.
Mr Alfred Ofori Annye was the first among the 3 aspirants to pick forms to contest the party’s parliamentary primaries.
After submission of his forms, he said, he has served NPP since 1996, he started as the polling station agent in the Berekum constituency when he was a student at Berekum Training College. He also held the position as the president of the Bono -Ahafo Students Union (BASU)Â He was elected the secretary of the Tertiary Education Confederacy of the NPP (TESCON) among other vital key positions in the party.
He further explained that he served as Brong – Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer of the party from 2005-2009 and Regional Secretary from 2009-2016. According to him, he also served as a member of the National Council of the NPP for nine years. He believes that this is the ideal time, he deserves the highest position to steer the affairs of the constituency.
The Deputy CEO of PBC LTD said that before the 2020 elections, the situation of the party in the Wenchi constituency became bleak and was completely shattered, which resulted in their loss to the NDC.
He added that the message has been well received by most of the NPP party faithful. This gives him the hope that he deserves victory to retain the power from the NDC in the v2024 general election. He pleaded with the delegates to give him the nod to come and serve the party to propel the constituency to a different level.
It is his mission to unite the party in the Wenchi constituency and build a lasting relationship among the party members. He said his vision is also to fortify the party in the constituency for it to be undefeated by any political party.
Mr Alfred Ofori Annye is currently the Deputy CEO in charge of operations of PBC Limited, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Cocoa Farmers Pension Scheme, again he is the Vice President of the Licensed Cocoa Buyers Association of Ghana (LICOBAG).
The PPP party followers describe him as a man of principle, intelligent calm but fearless when it matters to take action. This has made him a breakthrough person not only in the NPP but among other political parties. His chalk successes cannot be erased.
