MPs’ active role in the LGBTQ+ has delayed the passing of the bill. LGBTQ+ activist, Angel Maxine, says most of the Ghanaian MPs are key players in the LGBTO. An audio recording of a discussion between an alleged member of parliament and open transgender singer and LGBTQ+ activist Angel Maxine from Ghana has leaked.
The male voice begs Angel to consider something he requested during the brief exchange, albeit it is unclear when the chat originated. He continued by telling her he guaranteed her protection, as he had done multiple times.
“Please, Angel, consider this. I have previously stood up for and shielded you. In a post uploaded on Instagram by Angel Maxine, a male voice can be heard saying, “Angel, don’t do this to me.”
She also warned in her article that if Parliament passed the Promotion of Proper Human Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill, all lawmakers and religious authorities would be brought to justice.
The simple question is, why not pass the LGBTQ+?
