The chief of Buoyem in the Techiman Traditional Area, Nana Daasebre Kwarten has disclosed that no politician in Ghana can score above 40% of his promises. Daasebre Kwarten says Ghanaians have a good memory to remember their unfulfilled promises, and it will reflect in every general election.
Nana Daasebre Kwarten stressed that the Omanhene of the Techiman traditional area, Oseadeyo Akumfi Ameyaw 1v has addressed the challenges of Buoyem road network to three presidents, but all turned on death ears.
Daasebre Kwarten speaking to Nkyeremu News says they have made several follow-ups to the regional ministers, and MPs and DCEs for decades but have all proved futile.
He stressed that the Bouyem, Asue and Mesedan 6-kilo metres road network compels drivers to charge exorbitant fares. According to Nana Daasebre, several vehicles plying the road breakdown due to the nature of the road.
Nana says the poor road network has paved the way for armed robbers who pull guns both day and night to rob traders and passengers very often! According to Nana, the people of Buoyem produce all kinds of food crops, cocoa and cashew, but their road network is out of the government’s book of records.
Driver Agyei Mensah who has plied Buoyem road for over 30 years says, the Buoyem road is always dusty or muddy. He added, that there is no single day that vehicles do not break down on the road.
