Experience can’t ever be undermined in every organization, particularly in football. The arrival of the sensational and utility player, Jordan Ayew in the 15 minutes to the end of the proceeding changed the entire game.  He was playing both wings and as a striker. Jordan made a perfect pull-out which should have resulted in a goal, but inexperience denied the opportunity.

If I were to judge the man of the match it would have been Jordan Ayew though he played for only 15 minutes. Your view might be different, but he proved his presence.

Mohammed Kudus tried to score Ghana’s opening goal in the sixteenth minute, but the crossbar thwarted his attempt. After that, Ghana gained momentum and had two chances, but Kudus missed his second one and Antoine Semenyo beat everyone with a cross-goal shot. Just before the half, Mali took the lead thanks to a deflected goal by Alexander Djiku, which Kamory Doubia touched to give Mali the advantage in extra time.

Shortly after the interval, Tariq Lamptey’s low cross almost brought the Black Stars level, but Antoine Semenyo was not impressed. But there was no doubting Ernest Nuamah in the 58th minute. The Olympique Lyon forward sprang to meet Salis Abdul Samed’s beautiful cross with a headshot to tie Ghana at one.

In an attempt to score their second goal of the game, Ghana attacked just minutes before regulation time ended. Jordan got the ball past the Malian defense and placed the ballet on the blind side of the goalkeeper to give Ghana the needed three points. Following the win, Ghana has six points from three games, one more than the Comoros, who lead due to a better goal advantage.
