After one of the longest transfer sagas in modern sport, Kylian Mbappe has finally signed with Real Madrid, giving the European champions even more quality.

Madrid confirmed Mbappe’s arrival on Monday, two days after the team won the Champions League final on Saturday night, defeating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 at Wembley to secure a record-tying 15th European Cup.

“Real Madrid CF and Kylian Mbappe have reached an agreement whereby he will be a Real Madrid player for the next five seasons,” was the brief statement they sent to confirm the news.

Mbappe wrote on Twitter/X to express his happiness about the transfer, writing, “A dream come true.” I’m overjoyed and honoured to have joined Real Madrid, the team of my aspirations. No one can truly comprehend my current level of excitement. Madridistas, I can’t wait to meet you. I appreciate all of your amazing support. “Hala Madrid!”

Many soccer fans believed that the inclusion of Mbappé could be a challenge to the club than the goodwill they had anticipated.  Does the inclusion of Mbappé to Madrid mean they will maintain the Champions League next year, what happened when Messi, Mbappé and Neymar played for PSG?
