The Real Madrid’s Vinícius Jr has said, that if the 2024 Ballon dor is not awarded to him, he will retire from footballing. According to him, he has no challenger as compared to the previous years. Following an amazing performance in the Spanish capital, Vinicius, along with teammate Jude Bellingham, has emerged as one of the front-runners to win the Ballon d’Or. But if Bellingham doesn’t light up the European Championship with England, winning the Copa American trophy in the United States will make him the overwhelming favorite to be crowned the world’s finest player.
But, after making 39 games for Real Madrid and contributing 11 assists, Vinicius already seems worthy of the Ballon d’Or, according to Arsenal striker Martinelli.
During a news conference, Martinelli stated: “It is a huge honour to be playing with him. Observing the unique and deserving youngster he is while living his daily life. I’m thrilled to be Brazilian and witness Vini’s success. I think he should be the recipient of the Ballon d’Or. I enjoy having him in the field with me.”
