The finance minister, Hon. Ato Forson, has strongly warned Ghanaians who are still keeping their dollars at home to think otherwise because the dollar is going to see a further decline than expected. The finance minister says they have put in several measures to ensure that the Ghana cedi gains strength to a single digit before the year ends.
He says the import duties will reduce, food prices will go down, and general commodities will see a decline, including car spare parts and car importations. He added that people in the diaspora should know how to handle their foreign currencies.
