Joykem, which began operations in August, 2016, manufactures a wide range of roofing products, including aluminium coils, step-tile roofing sheets, long-span sheets and standing-seam roofing materials. The director of the Joykem Roofing Company, Emmanuel Kwadwo Kwarfo, in his remarks, said Joykem had established substations and operational outlets across Ghana to make its products more accessible to customers. The company has also advertised a presence in several regional capitals, including Techiman, Accra, Kumasi, Bolgatanga and Tamale. He says that after placing an order, transporting the order is quite reasonable and affordable.
The quality of Joykem’s roofing sheets, the company says, is one of the major factors that has helped it stand tall in Ghana’s competitive construction sector. Its roofing materials are promoted as corrosion-resistant, non-fading and durable, with a clean finish that enhances the appearance of buildings. Joykem also produces its own roofing accessories, a practice it says supports proper installation and improves the overall quality of completed roofing projects.
At the anniversary celebration, the Tuntunhene of Techiman-Bamire, Nana Bafour Asare II, who chaired the occasion, praised the company’s Director, Emmanuel Kwadwo Kwarfo, for establishing the roofing-sheet manufacturing company in Bamire. He commended the director for creating employment opportunities and for operating a facility that runs 24 hours a day to serve customers and sustain production.
The anniversary celebration therefore served not only as a milestone for Joykem, but also as a reflection of its contribution to local manufacturing, employment creation and the development of Ghana’s building industry.
