The creation of awareness is a key factor to control domestic and bush fire outbreaks and should be considered a serious exercise by all. The Bono east regional fire commander, DCFO George Frimpong Anim disclosed this to Nkyeremu News when observing their annual safety week celebration with the theme, Fire Safety Our Collective Responsibility.
In their one-week public education and awareness creation, day 1 was the official launch at the Bono east regional fire service headquarters, which was on Monday. Tuesday was the float in some principal streets of Techiman with education.
Observing their week-long public education, they visited schools, marketplaces, filling stations, offices, and banking institutions and launched the Bono east regimental instruments on Friday.
DCFO, George Anim pleaded with Ghanaians to all put all hands on the deck since eradicating fire is a collective responsibility.
In spite of their vigorous education, 2022 has already recorded 57 fire-related cases with 37 domestic fires, and 4 industrial cases. The fire commander was optimistic that with continuous education they will be able to curb the fire disasters in the region.
Over 150 fire officers were being deployed for public education. The regional fire commander, DCFO, George Anim Frimpong took part in the entire floating exercise and championed their jama group for the guys to chant the more!!!
It was indeed a week of fun, educative, and lovely. It is better to give credit to where it is well deserved.
