On September 12, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector General of Police, will appear before the parliamentary committee to explain his views on the leaked tape.
The chairperson of the parliamentary committee, Samuel Atta Akyea, said this in their last sitting.
On Tuesday, all those involved in the leaked tape including, Chief Daniel Bugri Naabu, Superintendent Mr George L. Asare, COP Mr George Alex Mensah and Superintendent Mr Emmanuel Eric Gyebi – will all appear before the committee, the chairperson said.
All interrogations will be closed doors. He clarified that in order to protect national security, certain issues from the hearing needed to be kept from becoming public.
He said, there is a need to hear the IGP Damare’s personal views before they can draw their final conclusion on the matter.
