The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) general secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, has challenged Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to an open discussion with former president John Mahama.
He stated that the discussion will include socioeconomic problems and their histories.
Dr. Bawumia is always available and prepared to debate Mr. Mahama “any day, anywhere, and anytime,” according to JFK, as he is commonly known.
This was stated by Mr. Kodua on Monday’s Dwaso Nsem morning show on Adom FM, which was broadcast after Dr. Bawumia was chosen as the NPP flagbearer last Saturday.

“I challenge Mahama to a debate with Bawumia. It must happen immediately and I tell you, Bawumia will floor Mahama,” he bragged.
The General Secretary also proposed the National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, as the referee for the contest.
Meanwhile, the NDC Director of Elections and IT, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, insists Dr. Bawumia doesn’t measure up to the former President in any assessment.
He has argued that Dr. Bawumia’s performance as the Head of the Economic Management Team (EMT) cannot be compared to Mr. Mahama’s record when he was Vice President.
