The petrol price in Ghana was 15.52 Ghanaian cedis (GHS) per litre as of June 03, 2024, or around one US dollar. Compared to the prices in April of the same year, this indicated a 0.53 cedi gain, on June 6, 2024. The Institute for Energy Security (IES) has forecast that fuel prices will rise once more in the first half of June 2024. This is in line with developments in the domestic FX and foreign petrol markets, as the Cedi’s performance deteriorates.
